Tracking reports of human rights abuses against activists and ethnic and religious minorities draws much needed attention to a serious problem. Such reporting exposes patterns of violence and terrorism, allowing others to take appropriate action. In addition, attempts to censor such information negatively impact the condition of people in Latin America.
