President Chávez arrives in Santa Marta for meeting with Santos

1:54 pm Chávez said at the airport that he went to Colombia to ratify his love. "Long live Colombia! Long live Venezuela! And long live unity between us!"

1:53 pm Chávez: "We will begin here to patiently build what was torn to pieces."

1:50 pm: Chávez: "Coming to Santa Marta is the first wise decision we have made… This is a sacred land."

1:44 pm Venezuelan President Hugo Chávez arrived in Simón Bolívar airport at Santa Marta wearing a jacket with the Venezuelan flag.

1:08 pm President Santos: "I pray God and the Liberator to inspire us."

1:06 pm President Santos upon his arrival in Simón Bolívar airport, Santa Marta, Colombia: "We are here to seek restoration of relations between Venezuela and Colombia upon solid and lasting grounds."

1:03 pm (Venezuelan local time) Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos and his team arrived in the airport at Santa Marta city. The flags of Colombia and Venezuela waved from the cabin windows of the presidential plane. Colombian delegates wore white guayabera shirts.
