Mexico City, June 27.- Health condition of Journalist Jacobo Elnecavé gets complicated, he was the victim of an attack last June 19^th as he suffered a pulmonary embolism caused among other factors, by the blows from the attackers.

The team of medical specialist who care reported that a blood clot was formed in the lung of the communicator this early Saturday June 25, forcing a number of emergency medical procedures.

Be noted that thanks to the experience of the medical team who’s taking care of Elnecavé, this situation was controlled. Currently a number of procedures are performed by the fallout that could cause the pulmonary embolism, which now is considered the priority in his healthcare.

Be recalled that among the injuries sustained there is also a nasty head injury and a 12 centimeter wound on his face.

Moreover, the facial reconstruction process that Journalist Jacobo Elnecavé has been subject to, and although it is considered highly important by the attending medical staff, it has fallen in secondary priority because of the pulmonary embolism that occurred.

Elnecavé’s family regrets this conduit, despite the severity of the injuries suffered by the journalist, in recent days the campaign of intimidation has not stopped against the communicator and has even been accompanied by actions, maliciously executed to scorn on the physical conditions of the victim.

Also informing that tomorrow Tuesday June 28^th will be released the names of two journalists, one in Chiapas and one in Mexico City, whom services have been requested as spokesmen of the journalist who is unable to attend at this time, requests from various media about the case and timely information about events that will be recorded. That before the campaign, which still does not stop, against the communicator in certain media at the service of criminals who attacked his life for his journalistic work.

In regards to the accounts of Twitter, Facebook, Youtube and Blogspot used by the journalist before his attack, these accounts will continue in operation and from there the society and the institutions will be inform regarding the incident. Now Jacabo Elnecavé cannot write directly on these social networks, health status prevents it, so a member of the Jewish community will be performing until the journalist can take care of them personally.

Likewise, the family of the journalist Jacobo Elnecavé are requesting the support of the Jewish community in Mexico, to which he belongs, to have the support of a legal team to address the process derived from the assault. In addition of the wildly face mark, through defamation, blackmail and infamy seekers are looking to cause further damage to the journalist, reason why appropriate legal authorities will be required.

We are also requesting to State and Federal authorities not to yield to any pressure by the criminal group who attacked the journalist’s life. Jacobo Elnecavé was not afraid to speak the truth, impunity in this case would set a dangerous precedent, that bullying and aggression against journalist used by the mafia and criminal groups is more powerful than the desire of millions of people in our country to live in peace.
