Bolivia: Iran accelerates cooperation to Bolivia

La Paz, Bolivia.- The Government of Iran accelerates cooperation to Bolivia in order to fulfill with agreements signed between Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Evo Morales on September, 2007.

On September 27, 2007, Ahmadineyad visited La Paz - Bolivia to meet his counterpart Evo Morales. In that opportunity they signed a program of cooperation US$1.100 million.

On September 3, 2008, the Bolivian president visited Teheran in order to deepen his bilateral relations to accelerate the execution of projects in the fields of hydrocarbons and agriculture among others.

The projects of cooperation covers the delivery of petroleum perforation equipment, plants of refinement, the building of a factory of cement, training of Bolivian personnel in the fields of agricultural areas, petrochemical and Refining Industry and fertilizers among others.

Abbasi expressed that " there is no limit of investment in Bolivia " and that everything will depend on the projects that they plan for the sake of the country.

With regard to the possibility of buying a media, Abbasi pointed out that it is a decision of the Government of his country, he didn’t specify if there is interest to install a channel of television in the department of Cochabamba.

" We are more interested in projects that improve the situation of both countries ", he said.

BOLIVIA - IRAN

On September 27, 2007, Ahmadineyad visited for the first time La Paz to meet the president Morales. In the opportunity they sign a program of cooperation of US$1.100 million.

On August 9, 2008, the Government of Bolivia with support of Iran and Venezuela creates the Public National Strategic company " Cement of Bolivia " with an investment of US$ 230 million for the implementation of two plants in Potosí and Oruro departments.

On August 13, 2008, Mojtama Samare Hashemi vice-president of Iran came to the country to express his support to Evo Morales and to impel economic agreements.

On September 3, 2008, Morales went to Teheran and agreed with Ahmadineyad to accelerate the execution of the projects.

On October 10, 2008, Ramiro Tapia minister of Health and Hojjatollah Soltani in chargé d'affaires of Iran Embassy in representation of the Red Half moon Society signed an agreement of cooperation so that two hospitals will be built in Cochabamba and La Paz departments.
