A nephew of interim President of Honduras, Roberto Micheletti, was murdered and found in a wooded area of Choloma, relatives who recognized his remains said today. Roberto Micheletti’s nephew disappeared days ago, and yesterday his body was found next to another young man, near Choloma, according to the National Police spokesman, Orlin Cerrato.
He said “the investigation will cover the total aspects necessary”.
The body of Enzo Micheletti was recognized by his family,” said Cerrato. The other victim has not been identified. The two bodies were found yesterday among some bushes in the area of Choloma, the northern department of Cortes, but were not immediately identified, he stated.
Cerrato added, that according to preliminary information available to the Police, Enzo Micheletti supposedly disappeared last Friday, the information of which had not been released to the press, and apparently was shot dead as well as the other person found.
According to local media, Enzo, about 25 years old, was the son of Antonio, a deceased brother of the Honduran President, whose family is originally from the city of El Progreso, in the Department of Yoro.
