Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has canceled a trip to Latin America scheduled for this week, Iran's official state news agency reported on Monday. Ahmadinejad was to leave Wednesday for visits in Brazil, Venezuela and Ecuador, according to IRNA, which gave no reason for the cancellation. In an apparent change of policy, Israel took credit on Tuesday for blocking Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's trip to South America. Police from seven countries arrested 17 people in the island of Curacao Tuesday suspected of involvement in an international drug ring with links to Hizbullah, Dutch authorities said. The PSNI has arrested a 32-year-old man wanted on terrorism charges in Spain. The man was detained this morning on foot of a European Arrest Warrant and is expected to appear in court later today.
