Dos estudiantes fallecieron el lunes y más de 30 resultaron heridos durante las protestas por el cierre de RCTV en la ciudad de Mérida (occidente), donde violentas manifestaciones de partidarios y detractores de la medida se enfrentaron con palos y pistolas.

El ministro del Interior, Tarek el Aissami, señaló que un joven de 15 años, simpatizante del Gobierno, fue asesinado, en lo que el ministro calificó de emboscada. Además, hay nueve funcionarios heridos.

Otro estudiante falleció por tres heridas de bala cuando un grupo atacó a numerosos jóvenes opositores que protestaban contra el cierre de RCTV, informó el canal de noticias Globovisión.
