LADDO Monitors:

1. Attacks against the freedom of press. (The first victim in a pre-revolution State)
2. Physical attacks against activists, journalists and intellectuals that defend democracy. This includes intimidation, property damage and assassinations.
3. Attacks against minorities, including but not limited to, indigenous peoples, religious and foreign organizations; -in summary- attacks against groups with different ideas, language and beliefs to those of the vast majority, among others.

We have seen attacks against indigenous peoples in Chiapas and Peru as well as anti-Semitic attacks in Venezuela, Argentina, Spain, Mexico and other countries. Guerrilla warriors in Ecuador, Colombia, and other countries that terrorize the democratic base of their respective countries and are oftentimes allied with the drug lords of the regions.
