Judge Eloy Velasco, of the Spanish National Court said that Cubillas had a constant, permanent and direct relationship, al least between 2004 and 2008, with the leadership of the Basque terrorist ETA (Basque Homeland and Freedom) and several active members of ETA commands with whom he has coordinated and implemented managerial tasks such as training, improved weaponry, and terrorist techniques.

A Spanish judge ordered on Monday the prosecution of ETA member Arturo Cubillas, who was deported to Venezuela, and Francisco Javier López Peña aka "Thierry" and Mikel Carrera Sarobe aka "Ata," two other former leaders of the Basque separatist group. They were charged of being members of a terrorist organization in a trial investigating the links between the armed Basque terrorist group ETA and the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC).

In the court order issued on Monday by Eloy Velasco, of the Spanish National Court, the judge also prosecuted José Lorenzo Ayestarán and José Ignacio Olaskoaga for possession of explosives in collaboration with the Basque terrorist organization ETA (Basque Homeland and Freedom), as well as Iraitz Guesalaga, an ETA information technology expert, and Iurgi Mendinueta, for collaboration with terrorists.

In the court order, Velasco issued international arrest warrants and decreed the imprisonment of these seven defendants in order to request their extradition in the coming days, Efe reported.

Velasco had already requested the extradition from Venezuela of suspected ETA member Arturo Cubillas, who lives in the South American country.

Velasco said that Cubillas had a constant, permanent and direct relationship, al least between 2004 and 2008, with the leadership of the Basque terrorist ETA (Basque Homeland and Freedom) and several active members of ETA commands "with whom he has coordinated and implemented managerial tasks such as training, improved weaponry, and terrorist techniques."

The judge of the Spanish National Court also rendered null and void the trial against Remedios García Albert and Omar Arturo Zabala Padilla, aka "Lucas Gualdrón," a delegate for Europe of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC), who will be investigated in the investigation started by the Central Court of Instruction No.5 of the Spanish National Court.

García Albert, who is the alleged representative of FARC, a Colombian rebel group, in Spain was arrested in July 2008 during a police operation called "Cali."

However, the Spanish National Court released her on bail, after charging her with the crime of collaboration with a terrorist organization.
